Default Officers pips/stars

Hi all,

I have a WW2 East Riding Yeomanry officers service dress jacket (attributed to a 2nd Lt.) with regimental insignia but no rank insignia. I would like to purshcase some to complete the jacket for display - is there anything special about WW2 officers pips / stars? Any recommendations or advice?

Cheers,

Neil.

Assuming that it has the original collar dogs, can you describe them?

Brass & w/m or bronze?

Assuming facing foxes with forrard scroll?

cheers,

Andy C

There are several different patterns and sizes, cavalry generally wear slightly smaller ones

A few examples in my album to give some idea of the variations!

Neil, are there any holes in the epaulettes? If so, it is best to buy pips that match with the holes. If not, perhaps it was worn with coloured cloth pips originally?
