It has the appearance, look and manufacture of mother of Observer Corps pearl backed Sweetheart badges I own and have handled. Not sure I can add much more than that, except that in the case of the Observer Corps ones I am talking about they use an image which became obsolete in 1941 (at which point they were awarded the title: "Royal Observer Corps") so I have concluded that they were early war time issues (1939 - 1941) or thereabouts.

Similar one for sale in my for sale album I am not aware that sweet heart broaches have been repro/faked to any degree
