Default Dispatch Rider Badge - Pale Blue - CD?

A member on a FB page posted this badge. Another member said they have seen an old gold yellow version of this that was thought to be Civil Defence. There is a photo of a CD Messenger wearing a DR badge on his lower left sleeve (see attached photo). Wondering if anyone knows what the pale blue version was for.

The colours would indicate RAF.

Nice picture, these badges are unofficial and presumably could be obtained by anyone in any colour?

This is the only Civil Defence Yellow coloured Despatch Riders badge I have seen.

To date I have seen two versions of the DR badge which appear to be RAF colours. However I have never seen a picture showing this badge being worn by any RAF personnel.

Hi,

I agree with all that has been said. In that these were all unofficial. Also the light blue would seem consistent with RAF but to date have not been able to confirm this photographically.

My album is linked below and if memory is correct I don't yet have a light blue example, so still looking if someone has one.

Cheerio,

Nice collection. If nothing else the proliferation [35 and counting] might suggest unofficial!
