Default Advice Please

Morning all - could you advise this constantly confused novice please?

I'm after buying a Westminster Dragoons badge from WW1 (which I believe should therefore be brass) - questions remain though....

Should I buy slider or lugs?
Fretted portcullis or non-fretted?

There are several good looking options on E-Bay, from what I believe to be reliable dealers (probably forum members). Just need a little guidance please !!
Thanks so much!!

I would suggest the slider was the WW1 issued ones. The 1908 earlier ones have been lugged.

The portcullis should be solid for an ORs issued badge.
