Post All Gold K.S.L.I anodised

Hi Gents,
Thought I'd show this all gold Kings Shropshire Light Infantry cap badge.
Nice early badge with a scarce makers name - R.A Hughes Ltd.
Possibly one of the earliest factory cock ups of an anodised badge?
I'm sure Chris (Hagwalther) will know.
Regards
Colin

Hi Colin,

"... and what idiot filled the colour dye bath with gold instead of silver..."

Followed by:

"...and what idiot then sealed the badge without noticing the wrong colour..."

Good find Colin!

Regards,

Chris

I saw an 'all gold' AA King's Regt badge a few years ago. The dealer was trying to convince me that it was a bandsman's badge !!! Perhaps I should have bought it as a curiosity but he was asking a silly price for it.

Well done Colin,

Not one I have seen before. A nice find.
