Royal Crest cap buttons

Can anyone differentiate between Royal Crest, i.e. Lion on Crown, cap buttons of the Royal Marines and the Royal West Kents?

I have a pair of silver and gilt RW Kent's and a pair of yellow metal RM attributable because of being on caps, other than that I don't know which is which.

I think the silver and gilt are or could be mess buttons

Army officers forage cap with silver and gilt buttons in a forwards facing pair,, RM cap c1937 (the images without chinstrap) and RM officers (the images with chinstrap).
I have a few more RM caps with St Eds crown buttons in metal and in anod al.
