Default Welsh Regiment-4 braze holes

Hello Gents,
Is there a Welsh Regiment Cap badge variant with 4 braze or sweat holes?
2 circular holes under slider and 2 circular holes on the scroll ends?

Thanks!
Todd

Todd,
Not that I’ve ever seen. In most of the early issue badges there is no overlay to the bottom title scroll so you only get the braize hole behind the crown. I have got some Pembs Yeo badges with two braize holes behind the crown but no Welsh Reg’t examples.
The examples with an overlaid bottom title scroll tend to be by Lambourne and these don’t have braize holes at all. I do have the one example below with one hole behind the crown & one each at either end of the title scroll. This badge does appear to be of inferior quality to the others.
Hwyl
Kevin

This is an example of double braize holes behind the crown of a Pembs Yeo on lugs. They can also be found on examples with a shank.
On the post 1920 Welch variant you do find these longer ovoid style braize holes. This is on a lugged version, but again can also be found on examples with shanks.
