It looks like a Grenadier Guards badge, similar to the Household Battalions.

Different crown ???

That is the official title of the regiment:

First or Grenadiers Regiment of Foot Guards.

Correct me if I am wrong please.

That's alright Dave, no probs. Just seems an odd way of putting it, in their title as Guards. But I've learned something here.

There are five regiments of Foot Guards, the Grenadiers consider themselves to be the first, the Coldstream Guards will disagree, hence their motto 'Nulli Secundus'
