RA collectors in U.K.
Just wondering if any of these pop up at shows in the U.K. They’re actually Canadian but were in use by the CEF Artillery in Britain during WWI. I’m looking for any lettered (A, B, C. Etc.) batteries. Regards, D.J.

Not been to a ‘show’ in 20 years, but, as Simon stated not something seen here. I’ve never noticed one listed on a dealers site, in a provincial auction or on eBay etc. Back when I did attend fairs can’t say I ever saw one on a card or buried in boxes.
In a backhanded way I expect it’s perhaps reassuring they’re so scarce still since cutting out a sheet brass numeral or letter then soldering to a standard Canadian Arty badge could be quite appealing to the unscrupulous. |
