Default Royal Artillery Silver (?) Pouch Badge

I have this Artillery W/M, Silver(?) it isn’t Hallmarked but scratched rear scroll and stays silver.
These first images show badge after cleaning in soap and water, then clean with Silverwash, will post these when light, there is a immediate difference!
Appreciate any information & Views for originality and it’s era?
Many thanks Billy

Or I could turn on all the lights of course!!
Here is badge cleaned up the last smaller, showing scratch test, Silver throughout.

Even better! Thanks Simon!

I know need to look at K&K to see the why? what year and it is genuine?

If it where Artillery you would expect to see A Canon! as this doesn’t then it’s Royal Engineer’s, would this be where I went wrong?

All the best and thanks Simon

Also, it’s a Helmet Plate.
