Default Wartime AG wing?

Hello All,
Could this be an original WW2 era Canadian made wing?
Thoughts welcome.
Thank you,
Dominique

Very nice original WWII half wing

Just had a look through my jpeg collection and it seems more likely a British-made example.

Dominique, as I may have mentioned to you before, some of the WW2 half wings I have seen have a canvas backing on them. Yours does not, although that doesn't mean it isn't from WW2. It looks to be in very good condition, which indicates to me it may not have been issued or worn.

It's a standard British made flat wing. Introduced in December 1939 and worn well into the 1950s so really impossible to confirm if wartime made.

The canvas/hessian backed badges were the badder variety. No padding = no need for a backing!

That is of course very true; but then, in all honesty, if a dealer had this for sale, you can bet your a** that it would be described as nothing other than a wartime badge

It is a nice wing fella I collect some RAF stuff but not these half wings... otherwise, I'd be more than happy to buy it too!.
