Wartime AG wing?
Hello All,
Could this be an original WW2 era Canadian made wing? Thoughts welcome. Thank you, Dominique |

Very nice original WWII half wing
Just had a look through my jpeg collection and it seems more likely a British-made example. Andy Last edited by E-squadron; 16-02-15 at 01:40 PM. |

Dominique, as I may have mentioned to you before, some of the WW2 half wings I have seen have a canvas backing on them. Yours does not, although that doesn't mean it isn't from WW2. It looks to be in very good condition, which indicates to me it may not have been issued or worn.

It's a standard British made flat wing. Introduced in December 1939 and worn well into the 1950s so really impossible to confirm if wartime made.
The canvas/hessian backed badges were the badder variety. No padding = no need for a backing! |
