Default

I think it is a collar and I am sure I have seen pairs of bi metal and silver and gilt collars to the RTR before, but I cannot remember seeing bi metal or silver and gilt cap badges to this unit.

Look forward to seeing what others have to say.

P.B.

Cool "Tank corps" cap badge

It is, I think a Royal Tank Regt. officers collar badge. The Tank Corps had the title "Tank Corps" in two scrolls above and below the tank.

Default Bi- metalic cap badge

Hi, the collars were bi-metallic but solid backed, the E-Bay example is made from the brass 1st pattern die. Whether it is a fake or not is another question. Orignal white metal reverse tanks used another die though there are examples made from the brass die but differing in fixings which makes one wonder. Hope this makes sense.
