Are we now limited to 500 previous posts being stored? All of mine from 2009 to 2011 have vanished.

The posts will still be on the forum rather I believe if you try to access all posts by yourself it limits you to seeing your last 500.

If you seach for "all posts" by a member it seems to limit it to the last 500 but if you go to "Advanced Search" and input 'user name' and specific 'keyword(s)' you can access earlier posts.

Basic 'all posts' search brought up 500 of my posts , 'advanced' let me see my first (of over 2500) one.
