Default A Few Recent Additions

Attached are a few recent (and not so recent) additions. The 253rd and 254th non-voided have already been seen, along with the Offr's 244th. These are far better photos of these badges though!

Note that on the 7th CRT the detail above 'CONSTRUCTION' and below the Crown have been erased - no idea why, but could hazard a guess!

The two Forestry cap badges are the hard-to-find Quebec Forestry Coy and the even more difficult-to-acquire Winnipeg Forestry Company Offrs cap badges.

Soon to come will be a couple more rarities, including the oval EMMGB badge as depicted on the cover of Charlton's Corps Catalogue and the 2 variants of the EMMGB cap badge (small & large beaver). In addition there is both the Offrs and ORs variants of the CMMGB Maple Leaf Crossed Guns cap badges along with the EMMGB/CANADA title.

Enjoy....

Lovat

Hi Larry,
Did you ever receive these images as I cannot find a copy of an email I would have sent, but I could have just deleted after sending?

Hi Lovat!

Yes I did receive those images, most if not all will be used in the book.
I also cannot find the email (as my PC crashed and burned!!)
Please send me an email at my home address - so that I can reconnect with you and have you in my contact list

Thanks

Larry

Default 1st Dawson City Rifles

A couple more rarities; in this case a cap badge and an OSD collar for the 1st Dawson City Rifles.

Despite looking everywhere I cannot find any information about this unit. The only known photograph I am aware of showing these badges is that of Bill Bird’s extensive collection.

I would be grateful to hear from anyone who is able to ‘fill in the blanks’.

Default A Starter for Ten

Please have a look at this link where I showed some of my EMMGB badges.

https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...786#post331786

Since then I have added another variant of the 'snarling beaver' that has a completely different lettering font for the CANADA banner. In addition, and not shown on the attached link, is the EMMGB/CANADA shoulder title.

I will endeavour to upload some photos of these and some of the other MMGB badges when I have decent lighting conditions.

Default A Quick 'Group Photo'

Not the best quality, but these 5 photos show a majority of the MMGB badges I have.

I also have a bunch of MG Company badges, some of which are shown in the CEF Section of what is to be the new B&CMBF Gallery.
