First time I think I’ve seen this mark on a metal badge and brass slider.

Not one I’d buy with the die flaw on the central plume.

I would disagree to an extent. There are loads of this type on eBay weekly with the fake 1970s Gaunt B’hsm mark. Undoubtedly these are not genuine. This is the issue with true restrikes from original Gaunt dies and Gaunt marks. Personally I would not buy any of these badges in metal.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/British-B...350b%7Ciid%3A1

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Royal-Wil...350b%7Ciid%3A1

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wiltshire...350b%7Ciid%3A1

Most damningly of all major repro seller naplestutle has them...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WILTSHIRE...350b%7Ciid%3A1

The Gaunt London LTD mark if and when genuine would appear to be in use from the late 1960s on the authorised but unissued AS Territotials badges in which case I cannot understand how it appears on a metal badge.

The history of this mark is in my opinion a murky one given at lease some of the badges it appears on. The BM Wilts Yeo badge does it no favours I feel and like several Gaunt marks I do not feel it can be trusted.

I didn't expect to see this turn up in this thread, good info and shows just what is out there if you look.
