Default Info on the Sindiahs Contingent

Hi all,
Am a new member and would like some assistance on a couple of Indian badges I have in the collection
They have the following around the wreath Sindiahs Contingent infantry ...with the numbers 2 and 3
Any assistance on what when etc would be very much appreciated

HI GARY,
SINDIAHS ALSO SPELT SCINDHIAS CONTINGENT COMPRISED BOTH CAVALRY AND INFANTRY REGIMENTS, THEY WERE DISBANDED CIRCA 1857-59 WHEN MOST REBELLED .THERE IS A PUBLISHED WORK WHICH COVERS SCINDHIA'S CAVALRY REGIMENTS DONE BY CAPT ASHOK NATH IN HIS BOOK ON CAVALRY REGIMENTS, I KNOW HE IS CURRENTLY WORKING ON THE INFANTRY VOLUMES AS WELL AND IS HELPFUL WHY NOT CONTACT HIM ON: khudaspa@gmail.com RGDS TOM

Hi Tom,
Many thanks for the reply and appreciate the info ..found that with the spelling you suggested that MR Google was more helpful rather than the spelling I was using from the badge.....
Is it a badge as such ie was it worn on a piece of headless ....a pouch...a shoulder strap ???

Judging by the size, they are most probably headdress badges.

Hi Peter...many thanks for the reply...seem to agree as both badges are slightly “rounded” that would suggest a form of head dress
