Default New Acquisitions

Attached are scans of three badges just acquired. Can anyone anser my questions, please?
1 - 7th Arm'd Bde but with the rat on a copper/bronze background. Is this the latest version?
2 - Is this the latest version of The Rifles TRF - bigger and with wider bands of red?
3 - Counter Improvised Explosive Device Task Force. Who wore it, where and when?

CIED TF was from the last couple of HERRICKS. It was a composite regt based on a RE RHQ with RSIGNALS ECM Tp and other units taskorged to it.

Thanks Marc for confirming The Rifles TRF.
Do you have any more info on the 7th Bde one, as the colour of the background seems strange to me? Any other info would be welcome.
Thanks
Fred

There are a number of strange coloured Formation badges being sold. I have yet to see one being worn.

Thanks Marc. I assume these are being produced for collectors. I'll hang on to it for the time being, even though it's questionable.

There are many, many badges on the market that were only worn for a very short time before the Army Dress Committee decreed (2003) that unless it was approved it could not be worn. Some in strange colours and odd manufacture.

There is a 20 Bde., with the same background as the 7 Bde., one, and a very florescent 4 Bde.

The current 7 Infantry Brigade 'Desert Rat' for MTP PCS CU (and I have seen it so worn). However some recent on-line photos show the traditional red on black rat being worn.
