Passing of a fellow member.
I wanted to pass along that Garth Thompson a fellow collector and forum member passed away in September. Garth was a regular fixture at all the large militaria shows, both selling and buying. He was an avid collector of cloth badges. One of a handful of British formation sign collectors that I knew here in the U.S.
Garth was always helpful and very knowledgeable. He was a retired Coast Guard pilot and a Vietnam war veteran having served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was currently serving as the ASMIC secretary. That being our insignia collector society here in the U.S. He will be missed.
