This badge (same images as posted here) has been offered on eBay from a Latvian seller as being a Latvian badge.

IF it were British, the letters might stand for 'C... Rifle Volunteers' but it seems odd that such a group would a) have a lapel pin with a date on it b) not put the regimental badge, or some part of it in the center.

Strange one.
