I have received this medal attribued to

MB 1097 H.A. MURTON CMM RNVR

Do you think it is possible to obtain some informations about this sailor ?

There are two different entries for this man, the service number is different and the F prefix denotes R.N.A.S. The unit on the medal is R.N.V.R.

Hi

Maybe already covered this but "MB" prefix is "Motor Boat".

I have medals (BWM & Vic) to a guy who was on a ship (S.S. Otaki) sunk by a German raider (S.M.S. Moewe). His trade was "Motor Mechanic".

Ended up as a POW in Germany.
