Default Oman - First GS pattern badges

Here is a set of the first pattern of Oman army GS badges - those not worn by a specific regiment. Date from the 1950s to 1970s.

Officers coinage silver. Cast and hand finished. Pin fastener but I've seen lugs as well. If you look carefully you'll see that the hand finishing has introduced minor differences and these badges are truly unique. Very high quality workmanship as you'd expect from the finest silversmiths in Arabia

Officers WM. Heavy plain back die struck.

OR's brass Pakistan made with typical integral lugs

OR's brass possibly UK made of comparable quality to the equivalent officer's badge but lighter construction with the details visible from the back.
