Default WWII 10th Armoured Division

10th Armoured Division Formation Badges, 1st and 2nd Pattern?
I'm after a WWII 10th Armoured Brigade Formation badge.
All my books show it to be of a fox design. But, two dealers have both answered my request and offered me the white rhino on black within a white ring.
I emailed back and said it looked more like a 1st Armoured Div badge to me to which they replied that the Fox variation was very short lived and that the 10th Armoured adopted the Rhino badge.
They are dealers and so must be correct but I can't find this information anywhere.
Can anyone help please?
Many thanks 🤔.
Ken

Thanks Thomas.
I had a "gut instinct" which is always worth listening to?
Thanks again.

Ken, To the best of my knowledge the only 10 Armd Bde that existed in WW2 was formed in Nov 41 by the conversion of 125 Inf Bde to armour. As such it was a component of 41 Armd Div. In May 42 it was redesignated 10 Tk Bde, serving as an independent brigade in UK until finally disbanded in Nov 43. While in 42 Armd Div it will have worn the red/white diamond of thst foirmation. Mike,
I'm getting 10th Armoured Brigade and Division mixed up. I'm sorry.
I'm interested in getting the 10th Armoured Division cloth formation badge that was worn in June 1944 by this Division.
As you know, I'm collecting all the WWII cloth worn by battalions of the Gloucestershire Regiment and have got a bit bogged down with the Armoured conversion side.
Im sorted with the other two so just the 50th Tanks to crack now!
I know that 50th Tanks were within the 23rd Armoured Brigade and served within the 10th Armoured Division between 1st - 14th June 1945.
I'm thinking I need the 10th Armoured Division WWII fox variation formation badge and not the post war 10th Armoured Division rhino variation that dealers are offering me.
Am I right or shall I strap myself to a HESH around and hope for the best?! Ken

Think this is the one you are after. Not common so good luck finding one.

HESH treatment did seem a little harsh.

Default 10 Armd Div

A couple more examples plus a contemporary British illustration and the sign as featured in a Wehrmacht Intelligence manual. Mike
