Default BBC doucumentary selecting secret agents

Hi Chaps,

I was looking at the above documentary over the weekend. The selection of real life candidates is tested using ww2 SOE materials and instructions. At a very nice location in Scotland. Training is also covered. Well done and interesting to watch.

I do wish someone would tell them to put their FS caps on properly though!

Looks great - but no TV Licence ... I guess that means I can't watch it.
Some time the BBC do pull their finger out and by all accounts this is a worthwhile production - thanks for link, perhaps it will come out on DVD

I thought it was very entertaining, I am quite surprised that a company, these days, would actually go to the very considerable expense of making such a series.

Hi JB
Thanks for that - I wasn't sure if that was allowable but I will look it up. If you can see it on the continent then it would appear to be OK. BBC are aggressive about licences but have now stopped writing and threatening to check up if I had a TV - I stopped paying for a licence a few years ago. They say they have the right to enter your home and check. I can understand their concern about people in the UK watching and not paying but they are not a model for good public relations. Guilty until proven innocent in their book.
End of rant ... one of my 'soap box' subjects.
Thanks again
Mike
