23 Bn London Regiment
Awarded to team members, 23rd Bn, London Regiment "Football Cup" 1928. What is the significance of the geometric device in the centre of the badge?

Mike, this device is used on wargraves to the battalion, The circle and small cross I think is a sovereigns orb, but not sure on the the crossed line part, Kevin

Kevin,
That's very interesting - I've never seen its like before although the design is vaguely reminiscent of the World War 1 formation sign of 61 (South Midland) Division a conjoined LXI. |

Caught my interest this one, I hope someone can come up with the full answer, I wonder if it is a religious symbol from a church in a London parish where the battalion comes from, or if the crossed lines are a stylised supporter for the orb?
