Default Beakless Gull in galoshes: worsted slip on sign

While putting in order my Indian formation signs I have come across this long forgotten epaulette slip on of the 4th Indian Division: the red gull has been worsted on a rectangle of black cloth and has suffered the indignity of being deprived of its beak: I guess i some sort of theatre made production, either North Africa or Italy. What's your opinion, gents?

You're right, Loupie. It is beakless! Other than that, well, everybody makes mistakes and I suspect that theatre made badges got massively messed up from time to time and may have been issued anyway, depending on time and financial constraints.
