Default Chaplain badges

Hi,

From an older collection I bought a few months ago, mainly consisting of original cloth badges were also approximately 50 cap badges, they were all framed but because I have learnt there are a lot of restrikes out there I would like to check most here first.

Chaplain badge, marker marked Scully LTD Montreal.

Jewish Chaplain badge, no maker.

I did some further searching into the flat back badge.
It seems most being offered as original have a half hollow circle on the back. But there is not much information available online.

Someone else with an opinion or evidence that it is fake?

My chaplain badge has the indented circle in the back, but has blades instead of lugs. Would that still be correct for a real one? Thanks,

Terry
