Indeed this the case. I am rapidly falling out in my collecting due to high prices now. Admittedly, the only badges I would be interested in are the scarcer types which of course cost more....too much more. I have long ago obtained the majority of common and relatively affordable badges.
High prices and fakes can ruin a hobby in the long run as has happened with TR material.

His ‘unusual’ RA is rather a broken moving wheel version which had lost its moving wheel, another steal at £20.
I do not know how Luke H has the audacity to say that I am not reliable when he has never purchased from me.

I have only just come across this post and would like add this. I have bought badges both Military and Police from Cedric, and I have posted pictures of both types of badge on this site for comment etc. None of the badges posted have been commented on as not being genuine. Indeed I have had positive feedback from very knowledgeable members regarding these badges. No-one gets it right all the time.
One other thing that needs to be pointed out here, since it's been over looked, is this. Cedric offers a money back guarantee if your not happy with your purchase. I know he backs this up, because I have returned a badge, not because of it's authenticity, but because it had some slight damage to it which wasn't easy to see.

Please let’s not go into this again.

The last two cap badges listed are terrible fakes…

£60 for a wonky Tower Hamlets Rifles
https://www.badgesoftheworld.com/17t...p-badge-l2421a

£40 for a pony Rough Riders
https://www.badgesoftheworld.com/cit...p-badge-y1484b

Such repro listings on that site is very rinse and repeat and so boring.

Some people were hounded off the forum for selling repros as genuine. Whether someone is a nice person or not, offers a money back guarantee or not, has 100% positive eBay feedback or not, to me it makes no difference in the cold light of day. If they are selling fakes as genuine it is not right. Yes people make mistakes in good faith but this is a website full of mistakes.

If you feel the need to defend those badges and all the many others I’ve pointed out and could point then go right ahead but I’m tired of this.

*My motive for this post is not to provoke another slanging match but simply I do not want collectors buying on trust and handing over their hard money for repros on the basis of people playing the nice guy card and placing blind trust in any ‘guarantee’.

Hi Luke,
Not trying to defend anything or anyone, nor passing comment on any other members views etc on this thread. Just posting my personal experience. I have no desire for handbags at twenty paces with anyone.
