Default 1st Canadian tank battalion

What is the meaning of the different numbers on 1st Canadian tank battalion cap badges and are they different on each badge or always the same. Thanks.

Hi Lavd02, Some clarification please. Not sure which numbers you are talking about? The battalion number is the only number on the badge?

On all badges i see on the market are small numbers on the front of the badge, some on the left and others on the right. Inside the threads of the tank.

I have three of these badges, the numbers are all the same on each one, except one has the "5" in the "B5" a little different.

Changing the numbers would require changes to the die or significant hand work. That would add significant costs to the striking, something the government wasn't keen to do.
