Default Royal Engineers Museum, Gillingham.

Earlier this year I visited this splendid museum again. As expected they have an outstanding collection of Badges, helmet plates and the like on display.

I thought that I would share some of the images that I captured.

I was there early in the year and I took a few pictures of the badge collection on show. Very impressive.

It is an amazing museum. About 20 years ago they held a Militaria Fair there in one of the larger rooms amongst the exhibits. I remember thinking that I was being terribly original when I asked one dealer how much he wanted for the Hawker Harrier that was next to his stall. He was not amused and made it very clear that far from being original, I was about the 20th person to ask him the question that morning.

Bet he wasn't as irritated as Pepsi were when John Leonard wanted his Harrier back in the 1990's - I think he lost out in the end though:
