Battle for Hong Kong Unit Badges
Some badges I have collected since the summer in regards to the Battle of Hong Kong. My step-grandfather served as a gunner in the HKVDC and was fortunate enough to evade Japanese capture and survive the war.
Will recheck some badges' qualities or hunt for a few related to the RN in the near future. |

Very nice! I also collect badges to units in the Battle of Hong Kong.
You also need an example of the HK Police badge that was worn at the time. They were part of the battle as well and were awarded campaign medals. Some also ended up in Sham Shu Po POW camp but most were interned in Stanley Camp (my grandfather was a member of the HK Police there). Mick

It’s a white metal badge.
You should be able to find pictures of it via a forum search. Mick

Royal Artillery badge
I think your Royal Artillery badge is the smaller type worn on a beret, the Royal Artillery badge worn in 1941 was a full size.
