Hello RJW, The best is to post them on the Forum. If the badge has been in the family all this time there is a strong likelihood it is good.

I agree with Bill. In fact, an Arty badge that has a history (family) is a safe bet. Usually!! Remember, there were the corps reunions in Toronto with badges reproduced. I have never read anything on a reproduce Arty badge from the 30's - but!!
It is a shame! They are very nice badges and having them reproduced through the years has taken the enjoyment of them away

This is an original cab badge with tangs and is pickled brass, patina and all! I have suggested to RJW that he resubmit this image or contact Larry.

This is an original CHB cap badge pickled brass, tangs and nice patina. Which was not showing up at all in the gallery image. I suggested to him that he re submit a better image or contact Larry. All is almost good again! Rob

My apologies for the poor quality of the badge I provided for the gallery. I will have a better image scanned.
Many thanks to mad4thcef. I have learned a lot about my grandfather in a short while. |

That image is much better. Please try to take the image "straight On', that will stop any distortion. The background is fine!! I can take in its original size - please do not reduce it (or let windows reduce it)
