So there were two “Rescue” sections? My shoulder titles read “Heavy Rescue” . Sadly, when I was conscripted into the RAF, somebody from my division came to my house and took away all my gear (clothing). What erked me was that I had a beautiful WD “Jack-knife” attached to my lanyard, also a police whistle and on my pants belt a pretty good sheath knife, all my own property! All went. I still have my certificate presented when I reached the level of “Heavy Rescue Leader” I belonged to the Romford,(ESSEX) section. Regards, D.J.
