I believe that the original badges were either numbered or had a letter and number on the reverse. I will have to check this though.

The UVF mufti badges were letter stamped on rear to identify county regiment followed by members number, the 'Dixie' cap badges were not numbered.

No, I certainly do not think it is original, a very brief glance at it's reverse suggests to me that it is of recent manufacture.

I have just found the same badge being sold for $250 ! The seller on the website claims it is an original die cast badge! I on the other hand think it is possibly suspect. Kind regards Chay |

If it was original it would have sharp triangular fixing teeth at the rear not a lug /pin fixing.
