Hi Bruno, To follow up on Andy's offer, there are several Face Book pages that may get you some more sales. Did you want to have the word spread?

I'm the author of this book and I hope it will meet your expectations. This is the result of 3 years of work and 35 years of research and collection. I tried to be as complete as possible. I tried to illustrate all the badges depicted in famous references books written by known authors. Trying mostly to obtain the original ww2 badges (for some badge i've add a quality museum reproduction). I wanted to build a nice and useful guide for collectors. There are nearly 2000 badges and 650 pages, I hope to do better for the next edition (it is currently a limited edition and i'm the publisher). Don't hesitate to help me in this work. The next book i'm working on is about Indian, Canadian and Commonwealth Formation Badges.

Regarding shipping, I have not found a cheap rate for Canada. The postal service of my country (Belgium) does not offer a cheaper rate for a 1.5kg parcel. I'm still looking and hoping to find a solution for my Canadian friends. Maybe a bulk order reduce the cost ? I don't know but I'm searching for ...

If you have any questions about my book, don't hesitate to ask me.
Thank you for your interest and for your comments.

Bruno
How is this indicated in your book, please?

Marc

Default WWII British Formation Badge Book

Not meaning to be too facetious, it may be intended as an exercise for the student, i.e. collector. Also the counterfeiters (which is goodness)! Seriously it will probably be in the elite special forces section, i.e. Raiding Support Regiment, S.A.S. Regiment Malayan Scouts, Commando SBS, Commando Depot, Special Allied Airborne Reconnaissance Force and the like, if I could hazard an educated guess. Stands to reason.

It's sometimes very difficult to identify a reproduction (and for some badges, collectors are not in agreement in each other). So, to help collectors identifying original badges and well known reproduction badges, i've add a 1st chapter about "Manufacture Differences". But i don't have all the informations about all counterfeits. In my book, i think some badges of the special services are effectivly reproductions but they are in a museum quality way. I hope you'll like this book despite this solution. If you have originals of these badges, please help me to do a better next edition.

Next printing is on production and will be available on first week of december.

Book arrived well packaged but with a slightly damaged back cover, (more a problem with the printers quality control than anything else and as its minor its something I can live with). Other than that on first sift appears to be a great addition to the library with top quality illustrations, lm sure there will be some areas of contention regarding some of the contents which may raise a number of questions, hopefully the author will be able to answer these in due course (I have pm'd him here on the Forum regarding the 25th Army Tank Brigade and 25th Armoured Engineer Brigade insignia and will hopefully receive a positive reply in due course. Overall from me its a big thumbs up and great value to boot.
