Default 2 AGRA

Ostensibly the formation sign of British First Army which fought in North Africa in 1942-43, the sign was adopted by 2 AGRA when First Army broke up in 1943. These three examples were all worn by members of Gunner regiments in 2 AGRA - the largest by a member of 74 (Surrey and Sussex Yeo) Med Regt RA. I find the variations in the way they were made fascinating - I imagine by Tunisian or Italian ladies with varying degrees of skill. The group photo shows Comd 2 AGRA in Italy with some officers of 74 Med Regt RA - the one on the right is wearing the "Broken Spur" regimental flash on his left arm below the 2 AGRA sign. Mike
