Signaller trade flags 2
The recent C&T Auction included a collection of trade and skill at arms badges amongst which was the set of crossed flags like those shown. I have seen printed versions of the crossed signals badge but never one with a black printed ground.
The only possibility I can think of is Royal Marines for their blue uniform. Comments and suggestions please. Jon |

No theories on this one?

Jon - That is a possibility ... It seems that crossed flags and a star above represented 1st Class, crossed flags, 2nd class during the 1930's.
I am a former RM Sigs. Branch, 1965 - 1974 and our SQ Badges were crossed flags with star above S3. Crossed flags and star above and under S2. Crossed flags with crown above S1. Crossed flags with crown above and two stars under Yeoman of Signals. This was on Blues and Lovats tunics. Ritchie. |
