6 Gurkha FSC opinions
hi all
just after some thoughts on this 6 Gurkha FSC. what period are we looking at? who were the 6th Gurkhas any idea of value on this item? we dont get many of these come up in Australia and this along with a couple others will be for sale once ive done some research. regards BC |

Again, a very nice cap. No way to be certain of the age as it could have been worn up through WW2, but judging by the construction, I would say it is on the earlier side.

Could it be 9 Gurkhas, the buttons are kings crown??

Hi there - very nice original item. Definitely 6th Gurkhas - and I suspect of WW1 vintage. The earliest it can be is 1903 - the black horn buttons were worn till at least 1920's possibly later.

the leather interior suggests Edwardian or earlier, though not with those buttons but likely pre great war. that said Ranken were still in business in WWII

thanks guys
appreciate your feedback it does have the look and quality of an earlier item. any idea what these caps sell for? been trying to find similar online but no luck atm cheers BC |
