Default RAF KC all bullion Officer cap badge

Hi all,

I recently acquired this cap badge and assume it's meant for the RAF. It appears very old and is well faded. Could be theatre made but no way of telling.

The construction is well made. It is the same size as a normal cap badge.

Can any member put a date usage on it.

Any comments very welcome.

Regards.

Why 1918? I would have thought that cloth backing would be more WWII?
Cheers,
Alex

Default RAF KC all bullion Officer cap badge

Happy Easter everyone.

I am not sure how it’s possible to date this badge to any year with any degree of certainty.

Over the years there have been hundreds of variations of this type of cap badge produced by so many different manufactures.

Cheers
