Royal 22e Regiment Officers Badge
Royal 22nd Infantry Regiment.... I say Officers badge due to the quality of construction. A well made piece by Gaunt. A short slider to the reverse.. Could this have been worn on a beret as opposed to a cap? Or could it have been worn on either?
Very striking design... Have been lucky as of late with some better pieces showing up here in Illinois. Jack Ps. Dog hair belongs to my German Shepard.

Hello Jack, Yes, you have an officer's cap badge, but with the slider it may be the badge for the bearskin headdress. It is likely post war.

Bill,.. post war makes sense as it came with some British Commonwealth Korean War era pieces. Thanks
