Norfolk Regt
Gents, on having a sort out I found I have this Norfolk Regt cap badge, which appears to be made of copper and has been well cleaned. It does on closer inspection appear to be (albeit well made) a sand cast 'bazaar' made example - with a makers name on the slider which may be Indian - 'Chatur Bros'?
Can anyone shed any light on a time period for this badge and anything about the maker? Bess |

Chatur Bihari & Bros, Aligarh U.P.
Look in the Makers Marks section for your answer. regards

I believe that it dates to between 1940-45 as the 2nd battalion were out in India at this time. I have a King's Regiment badge with the same maker's mark and they too were in India and Burma at this time.

I have one of these as well, nice badge! Their badge quality was reasonable compared to other bazaar type badges.

Here is my King's Regiment badge with the same M.M. It would seem that quite a few regiments placed orders with them.
