Not King’s Colonials, as they did not favour the lancer plastron and had, very distinctively, 5-rows of vertical piping, each with buttons on their cuffs.
Both the Sussex and Surrey Imperial Yeomanry adopted drab shades of lancer style uniform with coloured plastron and the latter a slouch hat with feather plume. Ergo Surrey is the best bet I think. Last edited by Toby Purcell; 14-10-22 at 10:05 AM. |

Here is a photo of Sussex Imperial Yeomanry and as you can see the contrast between plastron and body of tunic does not match with your photo, plus the feather plume is a standing rather than cascading type.
