Liverpool Pals Cap or Collar ?
Good evening all,
Would I be correct in thinking the attached is original and an officer's collar badge as opposed to a cap badge ? And if so, would this pattern date from 1914 and be produced throughout the war ? Cheers, Mike |

Liverpool Pals Cap or Collar
Evening all,
I'm guessing there are no LPs enthusiasts to offer any thoughts ? Two recent posts now and dissapointingly, no replies Mike |

There are Liverpool pals collector's here, but I guess they are not online since you posted, I have had questions answered months after they were asked.
To my eyes it's an osd collar as the legs have no gap, but I am not a collector to them.

I was going to send a list of Lpl Pals badges to Wellington132 BUT as usual
I get that damn 403 yet again.......... (I only collect cap badges but I assume cap = slider, collar=loops !) |

Always difficult with b and w photos but it doesn’t look like bronze badges being worn in this picture.

Good evening Peter,
Yes, I see what you mean. Perhaps the officer 2nd from left, middle row.....do his 'collars' seems darker than his cap badge ?? As you say, difficult to tell in b/w. Mike |
