Default 2 badges for I’d info please

Good afternoon, please see the attached photos. My first query is regarding the red sword on what shield, the badge is only about 1 inch across. Can anyone say if it is military and if so for which unit?
The second question concerns the woven Cyprus badge. It is a crude image of a lion compared with the printed version. Is it genuine and if so, from what era?

Many thanks, Dave

Just guessing here, but could the red sword patch have something to do with London or some aspect of it? This patch is a London related patch for 256 Field Hospital, and also I believe ACF, plus possibly other organizations.

The Sword was worn by members of "39 (City of London) SIGNAL REGIMENT (V)" 1966-1995.

The Cyprus badge is embroidered not woven, it is one of the various patterns that can be found.
