Default Unknown LI / Rifles badge

Hi All
Can anyone ID this Light Infantry style horn. It has a gilt finish and is lugged and is about the size of a standard DLI cap badge.
Thanks, cheers,
Alex

I suppose that is a possibility but the quality is better than I would expect of a bandsman's badge...don't know?

I think Mike is quite right. Churchill states that something similar was worn on the DLI officers scarlet frock collar but I've never seen any evidence that this was a light infantry or rifles badge...

...but if anyone has primary source evidence would be delighted to be enlightened.
