Default Unknown Dispatch Rider patches

Hi all,

I recently acquired this pair of used Dispatch Rider patches. The colours are a mystery to me. They are pale orange/gold on a black background.

If any member can identify them, I would be grateful, also, when they may have been worn.

Regards,

Graham

These types of badge are often unofficial so they could have been privately purchased by anyone, but the colour scheme is most likely to be worn by the Civil Defence.

Its nice to see some evidence of use and possibly on both arms?

Possibly worth dropping Roy a line, he might be able to shed some more light on these:

Default Unknown D.R patches

Hi All,

Many thanks for the replies and definitive answer. I hadn't even considered the Civil Defence.

At least I know what they are now. Not in my line of collecting but nice badges, nevertheless.

Regards,

Graham
