RAF 1918 Economy Officer's Cap Badge?

Dear Forum,
I have been struggling to find images of the reverse of this cap badge.
I have a couple of this type of badge with the blades on the reverse and would like to know do I have the 1918 economy version for junior officers, the officer cadet badge or the W.O. badge? If it is the cadet or W.O. badge is there any way of tying a date down other than between 1919 and 1952?

I have found one maker's marked example by LUDSKI and on that badge the blades were positioned lower down.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

They are not WW1.
the economy WW1 is maker marked below crown and came in bronze and gilt.
These are a variation WW2 period i believe.

This was identified as a WWI example. I haven't looked to see if mine has a MM behind the padding and don't have access at the moment. I will look when I get a chance.

Alex, the blades on my badge no. 2 do look similar to your example and they would be fixed in the same position on both badges. The blades on the Ludski badge I saw were much lower.

A slightly more general point. I associate blades with officers cap badges and lugs/sliders with other ranks. Is this a hard and fast rule? I assume not if these badges could be W.O. Cap badges?
