Default Great War cut throat razor.

I have several of these in my collection and here is my latest find. They all have the same pattern horn handle. Some of them have a broad arrow, mainly the pre Great War issued ones. Some have the regulation Regimental code letters as well as the regimental number engraved on the handle.

This particular example just has: Pte A L. 1206295 inscribed on the handle, possibly done by the original owner to identify his property.

There are medal index cards for several soldiers with this regimental number but only one of the has the initiala A.L.

Pte Albert E Leppington. Royal Army Medical Corps. Sadly his service papers have not survived.

Two others from my collection. One appears to have been issued to a 5th Lancer.
