Help on identification please

I purchased this beret years ago and found it again recently.I have no idea as to the regiment. Can anybody help , thanks

One of the rifles regiments I think, hard to be more precise as many used similar designs, though someone might know better than me.

the beret looks interesting, is it khaki/tan or sand? Any markings in it?

The beret has a label possibly AJ White although it's difficult to read. It's colour is difficult to explain but looks much like the image. I have his name somewhere and remember he was an artist working for punch I think.

Forgive me for resurrecting an old thread, however, thought it might be useful to post a similar/near identical beret with known provenance. This one was owned by a Regina Rifle Regiment officer.
