That is a most unusual badge Rick. No doubts about its originality whatsoever but it is even smaller than the late-war wings?

I have seen an example on a khaki backing in the past, it was suggested it would blend in on Service Dress.

They came from the estate of a former Royal Artillery Air OP Officer, name unknown...
