Default Para Wings On Chevrons

Exactly when did the Parachute Regiment stop wearing para wings on NCO chevrons?

Very difficult to be exact on this matter.
ACI 204 on 12 Feb 1941 prescribed the badge to be worn on the right upper arm, midway between the elbow and the point of the shoulder. This created an issue when rank chevrons were also worn (see https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...ad.php?t=80666).
Later, ACI 1274 dated 17 Jun 1942 modified the position of the badge to be worn 2 inches from the point of the right shoulder.

Needless to say that paratroopers continued to wear their wings as initially specified beyond mid-1942 as we can see on the photograph above, taken on 19 May 1944 (source IWM).
